Whirlwind Attack (Combat)


You can strike out at every foe within reach.

Prerequisites: Dex 13, Int 13, Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, base attack bonus +4.

Benefit: When you use the full-attack action, you can give up your regular attacks and instead make one melee attack at your highest base attack bonus against each opponent within reach. You must make a separate attack roll against each opponent.

When you use the Whirlwind Attack feat, you also forfeit any bonus or extra attacks granted by other feats, spells, or abilities.


Endzeitgeist Says: This sounds awesome, and it can be, but it needs some set-up. Having a weapon with reach helps; having the Lunge feat is even better. Still, to get most out of this feat, you have to move into melee and stand amidst foes, which puts you at risk, but the results can be awesome and very satisfying. The significant number of feats required does mean that you'll probably need a fighter-level or two to pull this off. This is very much a feat at the center of a build, not something you have "in addition" to your core competencies.
